How do I sign up to the Commitment?

Easy! Just sign up here.

Who can sign up to the commitment?

Anyone who is genuinely supportive can sign up to support the Commitment.

What do you hope to accomplish?

For now, we want to encourage a tone for the way this discussion is conducted publicly. Therefore, we want as many people to sign up to and promote the Commitment as possible! By proposing this protocol for dialogue, we hope it will inspire people to be respectful of the wide variety of concerns, values and thoughts that come to this process.

It is vital that the way we conduct this discussion publicly includes, encourages and values those who have diverse opinions.

Is this a partisan organisation?

No. We are a group of people with a variety of opinions—from yes to no and everything in between—who believe that regardless of who votes for what, it is a good thing for us all to be committed to respectful dialogue.

Do you have any political agenda?

No. We want to encourage all people to participate in the conversations. Collaborative Scotland is independent of any political organization or associations, and is committed to staying that way. We want to cultivate constructive discussions about Scotland’s future, no matter what the referendum result may be.

Do you have resources available for us to use?

Yes, we have some links to useful articles and research on our website. We shall be expanding this in the weeks ahead.

Are you going to undertake any events or publish anything?

We have held two public conversations, the output from which can be found here on the website. For now, we are focusing on encouraging as many people as possible to sign up to and promote the Commitment. We will endeavour to update our website with helpful news and resources, and we may undertake more events in the future.
